What is a proper age for marriage and children?
Q. Does age matter? If not, what should matter? What are the most important things when thinking about marriage and having children when money is not an issue? by money not being an issue I meant that I was financially stable lol... sorry for the confusion, I know it's important :)

A. Yes, age does matter. YOU are the anchor of a good marriage, but you don't reach full maturity until age 24. Couples who lived, and/or were married prior to age 24 makeup 85% of all intial breakups and divorces. Males don't reach full maturity until age 30, which is why they continue to do stupid things until then. It would be better not to have a child with a male until he's at least 28, but your peak reproductive period is age 24-28. More oops children are born to that age group than any other, including teenagers. Teenage pregnancies are increasing, but 20% of sexually active girls age 12-18 are TRYING to get pregnant. Don't be rushed. You have plenty of time.

Is it fair for your parents to prevent you from marriage at the age of 20 even if you are mature ?
Q. Is it always wise to assume that young people are immature ? Why don't parents treat their children based on their mind rather than their age ? Do laws impose conditions and rules for marriage ?

A. Ummm... at 18 you are considered an adult and you can leave your parents house to live on your own. If they are offering constructive criticizm because they feel you are too young (how long have you been with her? are you going to school etc... I happen to agree with your parents... but mine married at 18 and 32 years later are still together). However, you are old enough to make your own decisions... take what they have to say with a grain of salt and know that it is because they love you... only you can make the final decision (you and your partner I should say).

A. There really is no age that works across the board for all men and women to get married at/by. Each person develops differently (mentally) and is ready at a different point in their life. If I were forced to pick an age, I'd say somewhere between 25 and 30 (ideally, 30 and above.. But everyone is doing everything at a younger age these days, so it may as well be the same for marriage). factors that determine 'Readiness for marriage: -How comfortable the person is with themselves -Stability of career -Age -Life Experiences (childhood, adolesence, college years, etc) -Personal maturity level -Relationship experiences (good/bad bf/gf and the relationships they've had... Such as whether they've cheated, the maturity level of the… [cont.]
